Role Overview
As a Winery Production Supervisor, you will work alongside the bottling team, overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our Still and Sparkling bottling lines. This role requires hands-on involvement, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage both Still & Sparkling bottling lines, supervising a small team of trained staff.
- Lead staff recruitment, training, and supervision processes.
- Oversee cleaning, preventative maintenance, and planning of production.
- Ensure exceptional quality and presentation of the bottled products.
- Provide additional support to the winery team when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience operating bottling lines in the wine industry or equivalent relevant industry exposure.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with prior experience in managing small teams.
- Proficiency in safety, quality, and environmental systems.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and moderate lifting (up to 21kg).
- Demonstrated self-motivation, reliability, and organizational prowess.
- Moderate computer literacy and mathematical skills.
Desired Attributes:
- Mechanical aptitude or a background in machinery maintenance.
- A forklift license is highly advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Desire for continuous learning and skill development.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and motivation to achieve high quality results.
