Restaurant Manager (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Busy Asian Fusion Restaurant seeking a Manager to assist owners with the sooth and effective operation of Restaurant and Function room located above.  Must have a passion for the industry and strong Customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cooperative relationship with kitchen Liaising on bookings upcoming functions and working alongside to provide staff training on menu items.
• Ensure sufficient staffing levels and rosters prepared in timely manner.
• Ensure staff are trained on booking system and procedure for taking reservations in restaurant and for private functions.
• Train staff to confidently explain menu and have understanding of beverage list.
• Great customers promptly and in a friendly manner in person and on the phone and train staff to do so.
• Address customer complaints promptly follow procedures and make sure they are documented where needed.
• Ensure staff are aware of the Sale of liquor act and aware of their obligations.
• Complete floor plan and make sure tables are booked in correct location to maximize customer capacity.
• Control stock levels to sit at comfortable but not excessive level.
• Work alongside owners to maximize sales volumes and profitability.

Successful applicant will need to have experience in similar role.  Duty managers certificate and a passion for the industry.

We currently operate 5 days Tuesday- Sunday set days off each week Sunday and Monday.  You will be required to work weekends and nights.
