Rippon is looking for an Assistant Winemaker to join our team in Wānaka. While predominantly a winery position, seasonal demands will require the successful candidate to work in the vineyard during the year.
 

This is a permanent position, commencing in March 2024 in time for the 2024 vintage. The vintage period will serve as a hand-over and training period and the role shall begin autonomously in May 2024.
 

A bit about us. We are:
- A 14ha biodynamic vineyard in Wānaka with an onsite winery.
- A close team that works hard, enjoys good music and loves discovering and
sharing wines of interest.
- In an exciting period of introducing new wines into our portfolio. We may have been around for a while, but we are always open to new ideas and approaches.
- Always keen to support personal development. For our winery team, this may mean attending winemaker workshops, trade tastings and industry events.

We are looking for someone who:
- has an existing right to work permanently in New Zealand.
- has extensive winery experience, including bottling.
- is physically strong.
- is comfortable working in both a winery and vineyard environment.
- is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- preferably has experience in working with organics or biodynamics.
- has an open mind, a good sense of humour and a willingness to learn.
