Macvine International is an established and growing wine distribution company. We are growing the Auckland team and have two opportunities for results driven sales people who are passionate about wine and want to build sales and marketing skills. The territories will be mainly Auckland based with some out of town travel required.
The premium international wine portfolio includes wines from New Zealand, Australia, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Chile, and Hungary. The roles will require working with the full range of clients and businesses which buy wine and glassware. The glassware (Spiegelau) is a leading specialist brand offering top quality wine and beer glassware which is highly regarded in the licensed trade and is increasingly available through high end retail.
Applicants must have considerable initiative, enterprise and determination to succeed and grow the business. Excellent relationship and communication skills, strong planning and organising ability, and, most importantly, a real interest in wine and the hospitality sector are essential. You may have had sales and marketing experience, have worked in the hospitality sector and be keen to learn and develop sales and marketing skills, or just interested in wine and determined to forge a career in the sales and marketing of wine.
The Sales Executive role will take over a portfolio of existing clients and will have responsibility for growing the portfolio across on and off-premise sectors.
The entry level sales role will initially work as an understudy to the senior sales executives while establishing the skills to take over and grow a portfolio of clients.
A top salary and bonus package is offered, dependant on experience. There is the potential to earn well above the usual industry rates.
