About the Role
Reporting to the National Business Manager On Premise you will identify and secure new business opportunities with a focus in the Auckland area. You will provide customer, commercial and strategic leadership for all national business development and be responsible for the execution of agreed commercial plans to drive targets. Critical to this role is an ability to work cross functionally, as you will be supporting the delivery of marketing activities and category reviews. This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution, while growing and developing your career within a dynamic and expanding FMCG company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and implement category growth initiatives
  • Support the National teams to develop effective functional relationships with key customers 
  • Delivering new business opportunities for our brands while ensuring our field sales team have the direction and tools to maintain our on premise customer base 
  • Coaching and develop our Area Sales Managers through customer meetings 
  • Work effectively with internal and externals customers to ensure effective implementation of Commercial Plan
  • Provide input to sales forecast and financial performance of channel by volume, brands, pack, value and trade investment expenditure
  • Have input into the strategic direction of the Alcohol division with regard to Customer strategy, vision, goals and values.


About You

  • Proven influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Understanding of commercial law as applied to agreements with retailers, customer and competitors
  • Strong commercial acumen to effectively manage the challenges of the sales environment
  • Robust problem solving skills and initiative to provide new and creative solutions
  • Solid industry experience would be advantageous
  • Resilience coupled with your ability to deal with ambiguity will be key to your success
  • Ability to lead and establish a successful sales agenda
