The Global Events team at New Zealand Winegrowers is responsible for the development and execution of New Zealand Wine events taking place both domestically and across key export markets worldwide.
We are seeking a star events administrator to join our small (but growing), quality-focused and committed team in Auckland. This key support role will report to the Global Events Senior Executive, and work closely with the Global Events Manager, the New Zealand based team and the teams based in our overseas offices.
Job responsibilities include:
- Providing event administration support to the New Zealand and overseas based teams
- Communicating with wineries to promote the global events programme (including domestic events) and assisting with winery event registrations
- Compiling event information including consolidated freight documents, invoicing, and attendee lists, and assisting with event logistics where required
- Developing and proofing event materials (e.g. invitations, brochures, catalogues)
- Coordinating global event communications including internal newsletters, board papers and marketing reports
- Maintaining New Zealand Wine event information on internal and external websites
The Global Events Administrator will work to support senior team members on other major projects, such as the Air New Zealand Wine Awards and the Romeo Bragato National Conference.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- A graduate with understanding of events administration
- Excellent time management and organisational ability
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- A valued team member, but can also show initiative and work well independently
- Able to take direction and complete tasks as directed by senior team members
- Competency with Microsoft packages and website programmes
- Preference will be given to candidates with some wine industry / wine events knowledge
