We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Support Engineer to join our team based at our Production & Distribution site in Glen Innes, Auckland.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and technically savvy Maintenance Fitter to support our Production Team. This role combines a variety of fault finding and maintenance duties with the opportunity for team based continuous improvement of our machinery and systems. This is an alternating shift role, 5 days a week between Monday and Friday. The current shift times are 08:00am – 4:30pm and 4:00pm- 00:30am.
You will be an experienced maintenance fitter with proven experience of working with high speed packaging equipment, preferably in a FMCG company. The ability to work with a diverse range of people, solve problems, and improve processes is essential.
Preference will be given to those with experience in basic electrical fault finding.
Electrical registration is desirable.
Essential Skill Set:
- Experience with bottling and packaging machinery
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Sound knowledge and application of workplace health and safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to identify faults through the use of fault finding techniques
- Experience in the prompt rectification of production breakdowns
- Work independently without supervision
- Proven ability to deliver results to the business within the required time and of the utmost quality
- Commitment to the promotion of a working environment that delivers high productivity and job satisfaction
- Excellent communication and team work skills
