Regional Sales Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Our company is just eight years young and has quickly become a global leader in sustainable wine production. Inspired to think boldly, tread lightly and never say it can’t be done, Yealands has achieved rapid growth in the New Zealand market. 

With further growth opportunities in the market we are now looking to employ a Regional Sales Manager based in Auckland but accountable for Taupo North. The role also incorporates the development and mentorship of a team of experienced Business Development Managers, as well as the management of existing key customers. 

In the capacity of a Senior Sales Manager, you will be focused on driving sales growth through excellent operational planning and execution of the business goals. Working with your team, you will establish sales objectives to meet annual budgets, identify new customer opportunities and maintain and expand the existing customer database. 

You will be required to spend time in the field, developing and implementing sales strategies and maximising productivity and sales excellence.  

The team are experienced and motivated; you’ll need to be a pragmatic leader who can mentor, coach and challenge, bringing a fresh approach and new ideas to the table. 

Are you the right person for us? You will have:

• A management diploma or equivalent and relevant work based training in sales management/selling skills
• Experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role
• A strong track record in leading teams, managing change and driving performance
• The ability to measure and analyse key performance indicators
• An energetic and passionate approach to customers, people and service excellence
• A demonstrated ability to succeed in a highly customer-focused environment
• A strong commitment to health and safety, and building a positive team culture and engagement
• Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude
• The availability to travel as required
