We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an Support Electrician to join our team based at our Production & Distribution site in Glen Innes, Auckland. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and technically savvy Support Electrician to support our Production Team.
This is an alternating shift role, 5 days a week between Monday and Friday. The current shift times are 07:30am – 4:00pm and 4:00pm- 00:30am (1 week afternoon shift in 3 roster).
Key Responsibilities include:
- performing planned preventative maintenance
- Undertaking of electrical installations
- Diagnosis and repair of faults with PLC controlled systems, AC drives and servo systems
- Ensure all electrical, electronic and control systems are functioning at designed performance levels.
The successful applicant will have NZ Electrical Registration, and a current practicing licence, reinforced by extensive experience as a Support /Maintenance Electrician.
Essential Skill Set:
- Experience with bottling and packaging machinery
- Relevant trade qualification
- Sound knowledge and application of workplace health and safety regulations
- Experience in the prompt rectification of production breakdowns
- Work independently without supervision
- Proven ability to deliver results to the business within the required time and of the utmost quality
- Commitment to the promotion of a working environment that delivers high productivity and job satisfaction
- Excellent communication and team work skills
- High level of self-initiative
Knowledge of Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC’s is highly desirable. Similarly, experience within a related industry (FMCG, Food & Beverage) would be advantageous.
