In this role

• You will be required to Manage the contract winemaking requirements, facilities and maintain quality standards to our specifications.
• You will be required to maintain and manage our  day to day 3rd party supply to wine contracts, while working with the Group Winemaker in the production and management of the AWNZ wine portfolio.

Key tasks will include

• Prepare winery work program. Liaise with NZW to implement winery work program.
• Monitor laboratory analysis of all wines and ensure quality control requirements are met.
• Ensure all wines are stored and maintained according to quality control requirements and report all occurrences outside normal parameters involving quality.
• Undertake suitable training to improve technical and supervisory skills.
• Management of  Audit results – Nil NCRs
• Be fully cognitive of the WPA with NZW & AWNZ & its application.
• Management of JDE & Budget – on time
• Manage Wine Additives (the cost of)

Ideally you will have this experience..

• 5 years Winemaker or equivalent including vineyard experience.
• 3 years Cool Climate Winemaking experience.
• Wine Show Judging involvement/experience may be beneficial.
• Has worked within a team, and has managed a team

• Formal qualification in Winemaking
