WineWorks is a national contract wine bottling and distribution provider, that is growing and under ever increasing demand to provide bottling, packaging and distribution services to the local wine industry. Our Blenheim plant is looking for applicants interested in joining our high-performing cellar team in the New Year
This is a busy, fast paced environment where our team work together to get the job done. The work we do supports the local wine industry and is full time and permanent. We are seeking people who can work a 10-12 hour shift, and have a degree of flexibility to allow some rotation between night shift and day shift as required. WineWorks is in partnership with Competenz and can offer NZQA Unit Standards as you upskill at Wineworks.
The successful applicant will become part of an established, busy team and will report directly to the company Winemaker. This role will share responsibility for ensuring our customer’s wine is safely delivered from the tanker to the bottling line, coordinating deliveries, cleaning of the wine tanks and cellar equipment while ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements. Previous cellar experience or wine handling experience is desirable although this would be negotiable for the right person.
Applicants for this role must have the following abilities, skills and experience:
- Have the ability to work in an established team environment
- Have a full clean drivers license
- A current OSH certified forklift license is preferable
- Have a proven work ethic, be reliable, punctual, have your own transport
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to excellence and quality with a great eye for detail, and a pride in getting it “right first time”
- Ability to maintain accurate paperwork and records, can follow documented procedures
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to assist in a variety of roles as required
- Have an ability and passion to learn new things, have a desire to progress with the company
- Chemical handling and spill management training would be an advantage
