Factory Maintenance Engineer (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are looking for a motivated Factory Maintenance Engineer to join our team based at our Annies Fruit Bar Factory in Grovetown. Reporting directly to the site Operations Manager, this is a hands-on role that supports the production team through routine maintenance and day to day projects. The role will also provide an opportunity to drive improvements through the development of a preventive maintenance program, effective contractor management, and alignment to our health & safety and food safety standards.

The role:

The Factory Maintenance Engineer is a key member of the site leadership team. You will have contact with all internal staff, and coordinate all engineering contractors as required. You will be part of the production team responsible for supporting the assembly, operation, and repair and maintenance of all the equipment and services across the factory.

Your routine tasks will include:

• Ensuring all tasks carried out follow company standards and meet regulatory requirements
• Assisting with the development of production tooling, equipment and processes
• Development and documentation of preventative maintenance systems and records
• Making sure Health and Safety compliance is front of mind always, maintaining a clean and safe working environment

In addition, a large part of this role is also to provide innovative ideas and continuous improvement across the following areas:

• Production lines and operating processes
• Fault finding and root cause analysis to drive improvement and prevent repeat incidents
• Contractor management
• Contribution to budget development and control

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Trade qualification in mechanical engineering or related fields
• Experience in the assembly, repair and maintenance of mechanical machinery
• At least 2 years' experience in manufacturing/ maintenance, repair and operation or similar, preferably from within the food industry
• A proven flexible 'can do' attitude
• A real focus on continuous improvement of work processes
• Excellent eye for detail and quality
• Have innovation and want to learn new things
• Able to build great relationships across the whole workforce
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power point
