We are seeking applications for our Sustainability Business Partner position based at our Blenheim winery. The core foundation for this role is being a true business partner, partnering with multiple stakeholders across the business to influence and drive the right culture; where team members take ownership of sustainability processes and contribute to a working environment where safety comes first.
To achieve this, the essence of this role is to evolve the sustainability culture across our business by educating, training, coaching and advising stakeholders on embedding our integrated management systems, and developing a strong continuous improvement culture that is aligned to the department's overall strategy.
Building strong relationships across the business is pivotal to this role, as well as establishing networks with external agencies/ suppliers and government departments.
So what are the sorts of things you can expect from this role?
- You will help deliver the short, medium and long term strategy of the technical department by promoting the desired programs and ways of working by engaging with team members and managers.
- You will become an expert resource to the business regarding risk management, quality, safety and the environment, delivered as an integrated management system across our company vineyards and wineries in Marlborough and Hawkes Bay sites in NZ.
- You will pro-actively identify and drive opportunities for improvement,
- As a key partner in ensuring the business maintains a range of certifications, you will also ensure the company exceeds expected compliance requirements.
- Your analytical mindset will make you inquisitive in reporting on KPI's, which coupled with your strong knowledge across the business will assist you in making recommendation for improvement.
Skills and experience required for this role include:
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Strong sense of customer service focus with a can do attitude
- Results driven and highly organized.
- Analytical mindset would be advantageous
- A primary industry background/ knowledge is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and quality while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Passion towards building a continuous improvement culture which drives good business performance.
