This is a permanent position averaging 30 hours a week, however these hours may be extended from time to time as seasonal requirements dictate.
The successful applicant will be reporting to the vineyard owner and duties will involve all areas of vineyard work, including the use of plant and equipment such as tractor, quad bike, sprayer etc.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities:
- Be a New Zealand Resident
- Have Growsafe certification
- Have a current driver licence and gun licence
- Have all-round viticulture experience
- Be flexible with working hours as extended hours may be required from time to time
- Strong communication and labour management skills
- Operating knowledge of vineyard machinery
- Working knowledge of compliance and occupational health and safety regulations and procedures
- Be committed and possess a strong work ethic with excellent communication skills
