Sileni Estates are now looking for Vintage Cellar Hands for the 2017 harvest.
Sileni Estates is a family owned winery in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. Sileni Estates is named after the Sileni who featured in Greek mythology alongside Dionysus, the god of wine. They celebrated great wine, great food and great company, hence our aim at Sileni Estates is to produce excellent food-friendly, fruit driven wines…and have a lot of fun doing it!
We produce Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Albarino, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah from across Hawke’s Bay diverse sub-regions and also Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough.
We are after self motivated individuals who have a strong work ethic, a practical disposition, are good at multi-tasking and working under pressure. Need to have the ability to work well in a team and unsupervised. A positive attitude and a good sense of humour are essential, and of course a passion for making great wine!
A minimum of two full vintages experience is preferred (sorry, no first timers) and a relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication skills (English) are required.
Employment typically starts early/mid-March and runs for around 8-10 weeks depending on the season. At the peak of vintage will work around 12 hours a day, 7 days a week on a shift basis.
