We are looking for 2 Duty Managers to join our passionate team!
About The Grounds:
The Grounds is a modern family eatery nestled amongst five acres of lush urban park in the beautiful Waitakere’s.
The Grounds was created by two West Auckland family men who know their way around a kitchen – Mike Shatura and Ben Bayly. Our seasonal menus have a distinctly local flavour, with most of our produce being sourced from Waitakere suppliers to create meals that feel like home—but taste like the work of two of New Zealand’s best chefs.

Ideal Candidate:
- Be flexible to work night shifts and weekends. We operate on a 4-day roster Thursday - Sunday.
- Have held your managers certificate for at least 2 years
- To understand and work within our budget for staff costings
- Must have a minimum 3 years’ front of house experience in restaurants with table service and events experience would be advantageous
- Knowledge of New Zealand wines and food is an advantage
- You must be well presented, with a positive and friendly attitude
- Must be a competent server who is confident in providing table service
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- A strong work ethic and a hunger to learn and grow
- You must have a good command of English and hold a valid work permit for New Zealand
- Full Training Provided
