With over 500 hectares under vine across Marlborough, we’re one of New Zealand’s fastest growing family-owned wine brands. To support further growth, we are looking for a high performing team leader with enthusiasm and a great work ethic, to take on the role of Vineyard Manager.
This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours a week. Please note these hours may be extended as seasonal requirements change.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with our winemakers, the successful candidate will ideally have:
- A viticulture/horticulture degree (preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years viticulture experience, including yield estimates, spray diaries, and SWNZ.
- Working knowledge of current Occupational Health & Safety requirements, including implementing and reporting on H&S initiatives and procedures
- An ability to work autonomously and undertake daily management of all vineyard staff
- Expertise in operating all vineyard machinery
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills
- Proven track record in a similar sized vineyard operation
