Spring Creek Vintners is a 12,000t independent winemaking facility located in Spring Creek, Marlborough. With state of the art facilities, we produce premium wine for some of New Zealand’s leading wineries as well as our own award winning Rapaura Springs and Summerhouse labels. Joining our harvest team offers the opportunity to work with some of Marlborough's best winemakers, gaining exposure to a broad range of techniques and winemaking practices.
We are currently seeking a dynamic crew to join our dedicated team. Typically, vintage runs from March through to early May. During the busiest period of vintage, we run 2 x 12 hour shifts. We offer competitive hourly rates, a hot meal per shift and can assist in finding accommodation should you require. We believe in working hard, having fun and are passionate about making great wine.
Cellar Supervisors: To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum 5 years winery experience. We are looking for a highly motivated, practical and proactive people with excellent leadership qualities. Applicants must be fluent in the English languageand have outstanding communication skills. Supervisors are responsible for directing vintage cellar staff in their daily winery operations.
Experienced RDV operators: Applicants must have experience operating a Rotary Drum Vacuum Filter (RDV) at a large production facility. Valued skills for this position include the ability to multi task, exhibit solid communication, strong organisation as well as a self-motivating individual.
Experienced Cellar hands and Laboratory Technician: Applicants will need to have completed two full vintages in either the winery or laboratory. Formal qualifications would be looked upon favourably, but are not considered essential. Successful applicants should have a good level of physical fitness, demonstrate strong organisation, initiative, as well as the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure. A willingness to learn and working within a team are essential qualities.
