The EIT School of Viticulture and Wine Science is well placed to serve the Wine Industry needs of New Zealand and globally. It offers a range of programmes from certificate through to graduate level to more than 141 students across our Hawke's Bay, East Coast, Auckland campuses and our Chinese partner.
The School is recognised for its niche programmes, its research and is poised to expand.
The Head of School role is a key position helping to grow the School with responsibility for:
Developing strategy and new business domestically and internationally
The efficient, professional day-to-day running of the teams and programmes
Ensuring our academic quality commitments to the students
External relationships, industry and partner liaison
The promotion of research capability
We are seeking an outstanding leader with a passion for teaching, learning and research who can continue the strong academic and institutional performance of the School and can lead growth and innovation within New Zealand and internationally.
In addition to successful management experience, you must have excellent people skills and the ability to establish strong networks with industry and tertiary partners.
An understanding of the academic discipline of Viticulture, Wine Science or the sciences together with an appropriate post graduate qualification is required.
