The Crossings is a well-established Marlborough wine brand, selling into On Premise and Retail channels across the USA. In market for approximately 15 years The Crossings has seen year on year growth.  To enable this growth to continue we are looking to recruit an experienced and wine knowledgeable Brand Ambassador to help drive sales and build our already strong business relationships.

This position, based in an Eastern US state, will be instrumental in further enhancing and growing our brand awareness and sales through education, building brand equity and increasing distribution across the United States.

 Working closely with our US importer, this role is about developing excellent relationships and elevating The Crossings story with our importer, their distributor networks, key retail and on premise customers and end consumers in order to leverage business opportunities. 

In representing our brand, providing formal and informal education and training to trade and consumers, attending key profile events in market including wine shows, sponsorship events and NZ Winegrower and NZ Trade and Enterprise events, the successful applicant will need to be a recognized New Zealand wine resource and ambassador. A solid understanding and appreciation of our Kiwi culture, lifestyle and wines would be preferred.

The position will report to and work alongside the VP Sales - USA to identify other opportunities for The Crossings.

We’re looking for an exceptional individual with the following attributes:

• A savvy negotiator with a proven sales track record
• A strong relationship builder
• Knowledge of the wine and spirits industry in the US, including a clear understanding of the three tier system and the regulated nature of the industry with a focus on legal compliance
• Results driven with the ability to report sales data and market trends
• A relevant college degree with two to five years related experience
• An independent worker but a team player

Extensive domestic travel is part of the role, as is after hours work to host trade events, wine dinners, tastings etc. You will need your own home office set up.
