Demi Chef (Sommelier and Chef Jobs: Hotels)

We are looking for a Demi Chef to join our large kitchen team in assisting us prepare an excellent standard of desserts, breads, pastries etc for our Food & Beverage outlets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing all food items required within the Kitchen team for each outlet, on time and to the highest standard
• Serving food that is safe to eat, nutritious, and well presented
• Work as part of the larger kitchen team, assisting in other areas as required
• At all times, keeping updated on product knowledge of The Hotel and related activities
• Abiding by all Work Place Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations at all times
• Complying with Hotel Safety & Environment policies, initiatives and legislation
• Reporting any guest complaints to your senior chef on Duty
• Carrying out any other duties as directed by the Executive Chef or Senior Chefs

 QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Appropriate qualifications and/or significant experience within the hospitality/resort environment
• Knowledge of all relevant food health and hygiene legislation and procedures

Due to the idyllic, isolated location of Mt Cook, you will need to be comfortable working and living in a remote location.
