This ‘hands-on’ Supervisor role supports the Bottling Manager by overseeing and co-ordinating daily operations of our Still and Sparkling bottling lines.
The role would suit someone who has bottling line experience, a mechanical background or strong aptitude in this area and good problem solving skills. They will have excellent attention to detail, reliability and will be self-motivated.
This position is Monday to Friday, day shift only, with competitive salary package commensurate with experience. Ongoing training will be provided.
Reporting to the Bottling Manager, responsibilities include:
- Operating both our Still & Sparkling bottling lines, while managing a small team of trained staff;
- Staff recruitment, training & supervision;
- Consumables procurement;
- Cleaning & preventative maintenance, including liaison with the maintenance department;
- Ensuring the highest quality & presentation of our bottled product;
- Additional support for the team in absence of the Bottling Manager.
Ideally, you will have the following skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience operating bottling lines in the wine industry or comparable relevant industry;
- Strong communication skills, with experience managing small teams;
- Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental systems;
- Current forklift ticket & current driver’s licence;
- Physical fitness;
- Strong organisation and work prioritisation skills;
- Demonstration of self-motivation and reliability;
- Moderate computer and mathematical literacy.
