About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity available to step into a highly successful portfolio and catapult its continued success, delivering quality service solutions whilst adding bottom line growth! You'll have the freedom to apply your flexible and entrepreneurial working style to contribute to the ongoing success of the Independent Liquor team and represent an outstanding range of alcohol beverages.

As an experienced Sales Representative, you will have ownership of a client base in Auckland South/East. On a day to day basis, you will be involved in executing sales plans, growing your account base and driving the sales of our popular, highly respected brands within our Traditional channel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and capitalising on local market opportunities to build sales and profitability 
  • Negotiate sales agreements, on shelf positioning and new product ranging to achieve sales targets through both volume and value growth
  • Execute with excellence the area sales strategy through merchandising and activating promotional plans with customers
  • Managing and growing customer relationships by understanding their business objectives and needs 
  • Working autonomously to manage your monthly call plan and growing accounts
  • Achieving budgeted sales and distribution targets

About you

  • Solid sales experience, ideally gained within the FMCG industry
  • Able to quickly build effective and mutually beneficial customer relationships
  • Highly competitive and want to do better by your customer, your team and your brands at every call
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels and with all personality types
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify customer needs and provide solutions
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High levels of resilience and problem-solving skills
