About the role
We are seeking a dynamic bar professional to take charge of the drinks selection, service and staff training to ensure the venue continues to drive beverage sales as well as their delicious food offering. As an Assistant Bar Manager you will have the opportunity to design a cocktail/beverage menu to call your own. Take charge of all staff training sessions whilst leading and driving the established strong bar team. You will be writing weekly bar staffing rosters, checking stock levels and ensuring the service standards maintained.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager in a high energy environment
- Able to work autonomously and have exemplary leadership skills
- Strong service focus
- Creative flair and experience with developing cocktail menus
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach and mentor staff
- Excellent communication and presentation
- Proven problem solving, organisational and time management skills
- Comprehend financial responsibilities
- Understanding of stock control & ordering processes
- Able and willing to work weekends and public holidays
- Must possess a LCQ & DM Certificates
- Full availability and full work rights in New Zealand
