Balmoral Bowling Club is seeking to appoint a hands-on Bar and Functions Manager and invites interested applicants to apply. We are primarily a bowling club that has a steady playing membership. Balmoral Bowling Club has a proud history, great greens, and large facilities. We are in the process of signing off on major renovations to our club rooms and hope to have these under way soon.
This is a new position, and you will have the opportunity to grow the club, its membership and facilities. The person we are seeking will need to be flexible with their time and commitment. Bowls is a seasonal game with limited activities during the winter, but the summer months are busy with both bowls and functions. The Manager would need to adapt to meet the changing circumstances. We are offering the appointee minimum hours during the quieter months, but it is imperative that the Manager extend their working hours to accommodate the busier times.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, a good organiser, have superior communication skills and work well with the members to grow membership and increase revenue for the club. A Bar Manager’s license will be essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES.
Hands- on management and operation of the bar and kitchen. All facilities (not the greens) including booking of events and coordinating them.
Promote the wonderful facilities that we can provide to corporates, businesses, and social groups for functions.
Keep a watch on club property and make recommendations on purchasing new and repairing existing assets.
