Bottling Supervisor 2IC (Night Shift) (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Primary Purpose of Role 

  • Perform Packaging activities on the bottling line to ensure bottling schedule is completed on time, in a safe manner and to the correct quality standard.
  • It is also recognised that the Brix team is small and at times there will be a need to work in other areas of the business including  but not limited to, cellar, bottling, grounds, vineyard, or events.

Day to day running of the  Bottling plant assisting the Bottling Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Operate Bottling and Packaging Equipment on rotation as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Keeping machinery clean and sterile, to meet high standards of food safety
  • Perform changeovers between packaging runs
  • Perform Quality Control Procedures and checks
  • Contribute to site meetings and objectives
  • Ensure accurate record keeping
  • Participate in providing and receiving training as and when required
  • Perform duties necessary to maintain a clean and orderly and safe work environment
  • Ensure dry goods are compliant and match packaging operation specifications.
  • To see and perform start up and shut down duties pertaining to packaging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Comply with all Health and Safety, Quality, and Operator guidelines
  • Share in the commitment to health and safety by following policies and procedures and demonstrating best health and safety practice
  • Promote the Company to external customers, suppliers and the general public.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications:

Fork hoist licence. (F endorsement) preferred

Food and Beverage Certificate preferred

Health & Safety modules

Experience & Skills:

Previous experience of FMCG production and working in a production environment required.  Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.
