Our client is a newly established beverage manufacturer with a robust plan to manufacture high quality spirits for the global market. Located within the Auckland region, their facility will be state-of-the-art and capable of meeting the expected market demand.  As such, we are seeking an experienced Distiller or someone with suitable experience in the craft alcoholic beverage industry.
  
In this position, the Distiller will be responsible for running all operations on the site, including full operation of the Stills, handling and preparation of the raw materials, quality control and general organisation of the plant and grounds.
  
Although an experienced distiller would be ideal, we are open to somebody who has extensive commercial brewing or wine making experience. A qualification in food science or chemistry would also be preferred.
  
In addition to the technical skills and experience required, you must have excellent process management and organisational skills, be able to liaise with third parties – suppliers, contractors, government bodies, and take responsibility for the day to day management of the distillery.
  
Ideally though, this position would suit someone with a passion for production of high quality alcoholic drinks, someone who wants to learn the art of producing these fine products and who wishes to develop their career as the business itself grows. It is a perfect opportunity for someone who loves the hands-on of making these products but also want to develop into leadership/management in the future.
