THE ROLE:
Currently vacant after a structural change, Yealands seek a technically strong General Manager Sales to lead their large global and domestic sales teams, developing strategic direction, driving profitable sales growth and leading a high-performance sales culture. Reporting to the CEO this role will take a strategic approach considering market analytics and worldwide trends, building key relationships in global wine markets to leverage opportunities and partnerships with Distributors, Suppliers and Consumers. There is huge potential for opportunities to improve market penetration, build brand profile and distribution performance for the range of Yealands products, to further enhance their global market leadership position.
THE PERSON:
Applicants will possess a tertiary qualification with extensive sales management experience ideally in the wine sector or an FMCG organisation and be able to demonstrate how they have successfully led, motivated and developed high performing sales teams. Candidates will be strategic leaders operating at executive level, with change leadership and business improvement skills, well-developed commercial acumen along with export experience and a global perspective. Possessing a relaxed, genuine and down to earth personal style will ensure a strong fit to this organisation, along with exceptional relationship management, project management and negotiation skills. Frequent travel will be required in this global role.
