The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Channel Marketing, the purpose of this role is to win at the point of purchase through the development and execution of an off-premise channel strategy and channel activation plans that deliver against our key priorities set within our category vision and strategic channel plans.
You will be responsible for the long term health of the Beer & Cider categories. You’ll achieve this by maximising the value sales growth of Beer & Cider in our retail partners whilst also growing DB’s market share through strong shopper & category understanding. You’ll utilise consumer & shopper insights to develop and execute a clear Category Vision and champion this through the business.
Your off-premise channel strategy will align with Brand, Sales & Shopper Marketing to deliver against the priorities set out within DB’s strategic plan.
You will also:
- Provide leadership to two direct reports
- Provide key Revenue Management inputs including Pricing & Promotional guidance & governance.
- Provide Range, space & pricing recommendations, defining the Picture of Success and setting execution KPIs for field teams.
- Provide clear measurement & proactive business updates on business strategy – through target setting & measurement of key metrics (eg/ Share of Shelf, Share of Display, Distribution).
- Provide clear commercial recommendations to drive growth & performance from category analytics & insights.
This is a busy role and is the lynch pin with stakeholders from around the business to bring the strategies to life - you will work closely with many key people from around the business so it is imperative you have strong decision making and influencing skills.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have a strong knowledge base built from superior shopper insights and an in depth understanding of customer and channel trends with the commercial skills to work through scenarios and understand the P&L impact.
You’ll also have FMCG experience and be tertiary qualified in commerce or similar and have extensive experience in marketing and sales, specifically, at least 2 years’ within sales and 3 years category management experience. You will have a strong analytical ability and proven success with strategy execution.
