WineWorks is experiencing an exciting period of change and expansion and we are currently seeking a Shift Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Shift Engineer will join a team which is responsible for the maintenance of our bottling equipment  The Engineering team pride themselves on working in a safe and cost-effective manner whilst minimising downtime and maximising production output.

Our ideal candidate will be technically competent – ideally trade certified- and have at least 3 years’ maintenance/ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in bottling, food or beverage packaging or short run manufacturing. 

The specific tasks undertaken by this role will include:

· Use engineering best practice to achieve production efficiency targets

· Completion of improvements and repairs to equipment in a timely and efficient manner that minimises downtime of equipment, keeping maintenance costs within budget

· Maintain appropriate and correct spare parts stock holdings

· Build and maintain sound relationships with team members, team leaders, managers and contractors

· Be instrumental in the drive to train operators, supervisors, & line staff in the technical aspects of the equipment and machinery.

This role supports our Production department which currently runs over two shifts,  AM and PM, Monday-Friday. We will be introducing a night shift mid year. so flexibility to cover all three shifts as well as availability for some planned weekend work is essential.
