Vineyard Hand (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Part Time

  Auckland, Auckland/Northland

Sculptureum is located an hour away from Auckland - we’re in the Matakana growing region which is north of Auckland. Our climate conditions are warm, hot summers with plenty of moisture. Matakana grape growing region is a unique boutique, diverse group of varieties, mainly grown on clay slopes.

The vineyard was planted in 1994 and was previously a dairy farm. It was established by a small vineyard called Hyperion Winery, with Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Sandra and Anthony Grant purchased the property in 2007, then upgraded and increased the vineyard size. Varieties were changed and the slopes recontoured, and drainage added. The vineyard covers 14 acres and is planted in a total of 8.9 acres of vines.
