Based in Kumeu, Soljans Estate is a well-established, family-owned winery producing a range of premium wines for both the domestic and export markets.
We are seeking an experienced Winemaker who has a passion for wine and winemaking and has experience, with a good knowledge of winery, bottling operations and mangement. You will have the technical qualifications with a degree in Oenology or similar, be mechanically-minded and show a genuine passion for the wine industry.
This is a hands-on and varied role working with a small team of dedicated people at an iconic modern winery. In addition to making wine from grapes grown in a number of different viticultural regions, we also have the faclities to bottle both still and sparkling wines, as well as Methode Traditionelle, which we do for ourselves and on contract for other wineries.
The administration side of the role involves inputting and managing Soljans winemaking data into our system as well as managing our WSMP, SWNZ and our health and safety systems etc.
