Receptionist/Duty Manager (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

The right applicant will need to possess the following attributes: -

  • Experienced as a Duty Manager with the highest standards of customer service
  • Hold a current Duty Manager’s Licence
  • Skilled in all aspects of bar management and Front of House
  • Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of Craft Beer, Wines, Spirits & Cocktails
  • Be able to mix fabulous cocktails and make greet coffee
  • Flexibility, willing to assist in all aspects of Front of House service at any level
  • Stock management
  • The role requires a physically fit individual as there is some of heavy lifting of stock
  • Demonstrate management/compliance with all aspects of our Alcohol licence
  • Able to consistently make the ‘right’ call regarding refusal of service, legal drinking age and ID checks
  • Proven team player
  • Produce consistent quality product without delays especially at high volume times
  • Have an eye for detail and ooze creativity and innovation
  • Able to multitask
  • 100% reliability, honesty and integrity
  • Accurate cash handing and reconciliation
  • Conversant in all aspects of Health and Safety in a busy restaurant/bar environment
  • KPI focused
  • Able to assist in training and pass on knowledge
  • A personal desire to learn, grow and achieve to stay at the top of the business game
  • Able to build relationships with Reps and Supplies
  • Able to turn errors into learning experiences
  • ‘PC’ at all times, even when under pressure
  • There is the opportunity to learn/add other skills to either of the above roles
  • As this position is long term applicants should preferably have NZ residency and a good command of the English language
