Job - Vineyard Supervisor - Urgent Position
We are looking to hire a competitive Vineyard Supervisor to join our vibrant team at Vine Strength Ltd, Blenheim.
This is a permanent position, the normal hours of work are expected to be 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed.
Full time: $29.25 per hour

Job Description
Vineyard Supervisor:
- Supervising seasonal staff during the growing season through all vineyard operations. e.g. pruning, shoot thinning, bud rubbing, wire lifting, etc.
- Keeping up workforce with year-round vineyard maintenance, including wire maintenance and installing new posts.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- At least 5 year’s Management experience.
- Passion for working outdoors and on vineyards
- Ability to work independently and execute job responsibilities with limited guidance and supervision
- Excellent time management
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, presentation and written, and excellent listening skills
- The ability to identify issues, communicate them and encourage employees to develop solutions
- Ability to deal with a broad range of employees, both permanent and casual
- A professional approach to the role, including a being highly ethical and impartial, with discretion and the ability to respect confidentiality
- A balance of energy and patience
- Carry out toolbox meetings and explain the hazards, evacuation points and where toilets are on vineyard.
- Provide pastoral care to RSE teams - assisting with organizing doctors and dentist appointments, banking questions and set up, and assisting with accommodation questions.
- Strong organizational, teambuilding, problem solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Available to work a varied schedule during the season all year long.
- Full driver's license.
