Located in the heart of Marlborough’s wine region, Marlborough Vintners Winery is a well-established wine production and processing company recognised for providing scalable production facilities for small and large wineries around NZ and the world. Marlborough Vintners also produce their own quality wines under the Ant Moore Brands, and beer under DNA Brewing. An exciting addition to the winery is the new in-house brewery, and soon to open brand-new offices, cellar door, and restaurant.
They are now looking for an Assistant Winemaker to join their dynamic team.
The job:
Reporting to the Winemaker, this full-time role will assist with the production of wines for contracted clients as well as branded and bulk wines for Ant Moore Brands. The Assistant Winemaker will contribute to planning winemaking activities to meet production timelines and facilitate this with winery supervisors and cellar staff. In addition, they will act as the first point of contact for the company’s clients and optimize the use of winery software systems.
The role has a strong focus on client relationships and will offer exposure to a variety of wine styles.
The ideal candidate:
You will have experience in winemaking with an appropriate qualification, such as a degree in Oenology. You will have a thorough knowledge of the operation of a winery and be capable of contributing to our production team.
Additionally, you will bring strong communication and relationship management skills and be a natural problem solver. An organised team player, with a positive demeaner you know what it takes to get the job done. You will have strong computer skills with attention to detail.
