Della Toffola Pacific provide tailored processing and packaging engineered solutions to the food and beverage industries, including winemaking, craft beer, distillation and water treatment.
To be considered for this role, you must have proven engineering or technical experience in the wine, beverage, bottling or packaging industry.
The position is Permanent Full Time requiring local, interstate and overseas travel.
This position will report to the Senior Technician and will work closely with our team of Engineers, Technicians and Administrative support personnel.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest and demonstrated experience in the beverage industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your role will include but is not limited to;
- Ensure technical knowledge relevant to products and associated areas is maintained and used effectively.
- Ensure customer technical enquiries are managed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot problems with customer equipment.
- Ensure good supplier and customer rapport is established.
- Ensure all types of correspondence i.e. maintenance manual and are presented professionally.
- Managing and directing any casual engineering support that may be required from time to time, and ensuring that they adhere to OH&S and company standards in the workshop and customer facing environments.
- Manage the maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
- Manage the installation of complete winery, brewing and olive oil set-ups.
- Manage sign off protocol including preparation thereof and successful completion.
- Forward potential product sales to relevant territory managers and identify new product needs in the industry.
- Manage customer expectations by keeping customer informed of rights and obligations.
- Troubleshoot equipment as required, diagnosing faults and solutions.
- Manage product trials, ensuring all trial work with customers is managed subject to agreed protocols.
- Set-up trial equipment at customer site to maximise potential and monitor the trial results.
Position Requirements
- A diploma, tertiary qualification or equivalent applicable industry experience.
- Engineering, technical experience in the wine, industry or bottling & packaging industry.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as plans, safety manuals, OH&S, operating and maintenance instructions, write routine reports and manage service documents and purchase orders.
- Intermediate computer skills are essential and AutoCad is desirable.
- Solid problem solving skills.
- A demonstrated ability of working well within a team.
- An ability to work autonomously when required and is self-motivated.
- Strong OH&S management.
- An ability to communicate effectively at all levels and establish good rapport with fellow staff and customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally, nationally and overseas.
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Current passport.
