Winequip are a leading supplier to the New Zealand wine industry, representing world leading brands in both processing equipment and technical oenological products. Our portfolio includes world renowned brands IOC, Oenobrands, and Novonesis, together with quality equipment from leading European suppliers including Juclas, Liverani and Puleo.
We are thrilled to announce we are relocating to a brand-new premises in Blenheim, the heart of New Zealand’s wine industry. We need a dynamic, hands-on leader to establish this hub and drive our NZ operation.
The role will take accountability for the NZ Winequip business including growing sales in the local Marlborough region. The successful candidate will be driven, highly organised, and have the ability to build on our existing relationships with our key customers in the New Zealand wine industry.
As the Branch Manager, you will be the face of Winequip in the region. This isn't just an office job; it’s a "hands on" leadership role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our new site, managing a small local team, and ensuring our customers receive the exceptional service they’ve come to expect from Winequip.
Working with assistance from both our inhouse and supplier based teams, you will be responsible for building our technical product sales in Marlborough and other key NZ wine regions. You will also have the opportunity to assist in product evaluation and trials. In addition, you will take responsibility for managing our NZ offer in terms of both range and quantities.
Full training on our range of products will be provided.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate the following:
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask well
- Experience in the wine or other beverage industries
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to engage with our customers on a technical advisory level
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the wine industry and ideally have an existing network amongst NZ winemakers. It would suit an experienced wine industry manager, salesperson or a winemaker looking for a change of role.
A highly competitive package commensurate with your experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
