About the role:
The Wine Consultant is part of a team who helps maintain and build the Pieroth presence within your area. Pieroth Wine Consultants bring a personal approach to sales by meeting our customers at their location.
The primary components of the role are:
- Making and confirming appointments with customers
- Presenting our wines in a private home or office environment to individuals and groups
- Assisting customers meet their wine needs
- Maintaining the customer relationship
- Our day starts late morning and finishes around 8pm.
- We work some weekends
What you need:
- A passion for good wine & meeting people
- Outstanding personal and verbal presentation skills
- A strong ability to work with others with an encouraging and positive attitude.
- Proactively pursue sales
- Resilient with set-backs
- Strongly oriented toward sales targets
- A car and a licence
- New Zealand working rights to be an independent contractor
Desirable:
- A background in hospitality
- Direct selling experience

- Full training is provided on our wines and our successful sales method.
- There is a guaranteed minimum income during your first 8 - 13 weeks.
- Once you meet the minimum sales level, a healthy commission on your sales.
- Successful Wine Consultants who meet the minimum standard after training may be eligible for WSET level 1 training.
