Full Time
Prophets Rock Wine Ltd
Central Otago,
Otago
About the business and the role
At Prophet's Rock, we make 100% estate grown, premium New Zealand wines using time-honoured methods to create a product that is a true reflection of the place where we live and work.
This is your opportunity to join a small, committed team of individuals who are passionate about what they do and the region they work in.
The role is primarily a Tractor Driver role, however when there is no tractor work, the successful applicant will be required to carry out maintenance and general vineyard work. This role requires proven machinery handling skills, strong practical ability and a willingness to assist with any role within the vineyard.
Skills and experience:
- Full New Zealand license: Class 2 heavy traffic licence would be an advantage.
- At least five years tractor driving experience; our vineyards range from flat to steep and undulating terrain and therefore prior experience is essential.
- Prior experience of crop spraying, trimming, mowing, weed spraying, net application, and use of under vine weeding systems would be an advantage.
- Current Growsafe and Approved Handler Certificate would be desirable.
- Previous maintenance work experience.
- Available for early starts and possible weekend work when required. Due to the demands of our seasonal operation, you will be flexible with working hours to get the job done.
- Own transport is essential as you will be required to work at either our Bendigo or Pisa vineyards.
- Ability to work well on your own as well as part of a team.
- Be a New Zealand resident or be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
Remuneration will be based on experience and industry standard.
Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.
