Viticultura are looking for a Viticultural Technician/Operation’s Manager. We are a vineyard contract management company based in Cromwell, Central Otago, that manages vineyards throughout the whole of the Central Otago wine region including the Waitaki.
The role includes but not limited to:
Viticultural Technician
- Pest and Disease management
- Yield Analysis
- Maturity Analysis
Operations Manager
- Responsible for job allocation and job flow
- Responsible for overall health and safety implementation and policies
- Implementation of various software and systems
- Communication with clients to ensure all vineyard tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Harvest logistics
Compliance
- Coordinate seasonal spray program
- Coordinate vineyard management in adherence to SWNZ guidelines
- H&S representative
Required Skills/Qualities:
- Must hold a Current New Zealand Drivers License
- Prior vineyard experience: prior understanding and experience of vineyard and various viticultural activities
- Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised and as part of a team
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to health and safety
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic and confident personality
Bonus points if you have these:
- Grow Safe Certificate
- Experience with Nupoint/Grapelink
