They are currently seeking a Sales Representative to target small to medium businesses in the variety of industries in a newly created role. This role is based in Christchurch and will have limited overnight travel.

In this role, you will be tasked with finding new business opportunities in the SME market with different businesses from industry sectors such as food, wine, packaging, engineering, and manufacturing. This will include but is not limited to:

• Cold calling to establish new business opportunities – this could be over the phone or in person
• Meeting with customers to discuss their requirements
• Preparing proposals and pricing for potential customers
• Pro-actively managing customer issues in a timely manner
• Ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting
• Working as part of a successful sales team

For the right candidate, this role will require them to utilise their relationship building skills to quickly establish rapport with a business in order to achieve company targets. We are open to candidates with a range of experience, but ideally you will have at least 1 - 2 years in a business to business sales environment. This role is extremely target driven so you must be prepared to 'pound the pavement' to achieve the results you need.
