We wish to appoint a Restaurant & Bar Manager.
This is a new food and beverage operation that has just opened.
It is in effect, a stand-alone restaurant within an hotel as opposed to a traditional hotel restaurant.
With this in mind, it provides a great opportunity to show what you, a hospitality professional, are truly capable of as a member of the Management team dedicated to providing a level of service which goes beyond the expectations of our customers.
Full commitment to the success of the business and to the standards of performance are expected with both service and hospitality being key words used on a daily basis. The objective is to build a strong repeat customer base via consistently high ratings from our guests on all media platforms.

Working closely with the General Manager, the ideal candidate will have had or have had recent experience in very busy, highly rated modern style restaurant who perhaps, needs to take the next step in their career development. They are ready to prove what they can achieve.
Their key attributes will be to be a hands-on operator, be reliable, comfortable in accepting responsibility and in making decisions, have a strong work ethic and relish this opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the Restaurant & Bar operation
- Developing positive business relationships with customers with the aim of developing a strong repeat business clientele.
- Providing leadership in and assisting with the development and implementation of the Restaurant & Bar’s strategic plan.
- Being responsible for the maximization of the profit contribution of the beverage department.
- Responsible for recruiting, inducting, training and performance managing of all front of house staff
- Ensuring Guest Satisfaction levels are within the stipulated range.
- Working very closely with the hotel’s General Manager and other members of the Hotel’s executive team to ensure a harmonious relationship exists between the various departments.
The annual salary range for this position is between $60 - $70k depending on experience and qualifications.

The annual salary range for this position is between $60 and $70k depending on experience.
To make our new operation stand out from the rest we need to have ‘stand-out’ performers.
Applicants will need to be able to live and work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work permit valid for a minimum of 18 months. They will also have excellent English oral and written communication skills.
