We're a renowned, family-owned, biodynamic winery in North Canterbury, 45 minutes north of Christchurch. We have a restaurant and cellar door above our vineyard, open for lunch, 5 days a week.
We're passionate about using organic, locally-sourced and seasonal produce in our restaurant, which follows our philosophy in our vineyards and how we make our wines.
We're looking for a waiter to assist our Restaurant Manager and be a key person in our small team.
The Opportunity
The waiter role will involve:
- Being a strong waiter and able to discuss wines.
- Being Maitre'd on days when the Restaurant Manager is away (after appropriate training).
- Helping with stock.
- Working very occasionally on evening functions in summer.
- Being available during the summer's busy period - December to April.
- Hosting seated wine tastings.
- The role could be part-time, provided weekends are covered.
- Learning about our wines with our winemaker and sharing that knowledge with customers.
