The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate hospitality professional ready to step up into an Assistant Cellar Door Manager role. You’ll support the Hospitality & Cellar Door Manager in the day-to-day running of our Cellar Door—leading by example on the floor, helping coordinate the team, and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role with the chance to influence our guest experience, shape our front-of-house culture, and develop your management skills as we expand.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the Cellar Door team during service, fostering a positive, high-performing environment

Deliver outstanding guest experiences: tastings, private experiences, winery tours, and storytelling

Drive wine sales and wine club memberships through engaging guest interactions

Support rostering, training, and daily briefing of front-of-house staff

Oversee presentation standards and operational readiness across the Cellar Door and guest spaces

Collaborate with the Fritzy food trailer team to deliver seamless food service

Assist with coordinating and hosting onsite events and group bookings

Act as duty manager when required

Contribute to planning and preparation for our upcoming Gibbston Valley Cellar Door opening
About You
-
Previous Cellar Door, hospitality, or tourism experience (supervisory experience ideal)

Confident, warm communicator with a natural ability to lead and inspire others

Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure

A genuine passion for wine and a commitment to ongoing learning.

Available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings (service until 8pm on summer weekends)

Current LCQ and Duty Manager’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
