Are you reliable, enthusiastic, and a natural leader? 

Larnach Castle is looking for a front of house team leader to lead the dinner service. This role will work closely with the Dinner Waitstaff and the Night Duty Manager. 

You will be responsible for leading the dinner waitstaff, ensuring guests feel welcomed and comfortable, and to oversee and assist with the smooth running of the dinner service. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Exceptional leadership qualities – you will be required to train, organize, motivate, and inspire a small team of waitstaff.
  • The ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Hospitality experience and food and beverage knowledge.
  • The ability to think on your feet, and act efficiently and appropriately when a situation may arise.
  • Effective and strong communication skills.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and carry stock up/downstairs.
  • Experience with staff management such as supervising, guiding, and motivating staff.

Average 25 hours per week. 5-10pm. Weekends are essential.

All applicants must have their own transport, a full driver license, NZ working rights, and be able to work weekends, statutory days, and school holidays.
