New Zealand’s leading distributor of small-production, artisanal and sustainably-grown wines is looking to expand a dedicated Auckland-based sales team. Kemp Wine Merchants is a family-owned business with 15 years of experience in New Zealand-wide distribution, with a curated and enviable portfolio of 30 producers, both local and international, that represents the most exciting wines available on the market today.
AUCKLAND
A sales representative joining the team will have a proven track record of sales growth and the ability to demonstrate a proactive work ethic generating tangible results. The successful applicant will be driven and a genuine self-starter, capable of pursuing leads independently and with exceptional time management skills. They will also have the ability to work effectively with a small team and be invested in the performance of other areas of the company. An existing knowledge of the Auckland market and contacts within the industry are strongly preferred.
This role will be primarily based in the Auckland region with provision for extension to smaller regions as agreed upon. Mileage reimbursement is included. While most work is expected to be conducted “on the road”, the applicant must also be available to attend staff meetings and assist with other aspects of the company. Candidates must be confident salespeople with a serious interest in generating new business.
WELLINGTON
A sales representative based in Wellington will have a proven track record of sales growth and the ability to demonstrate a proactive work ethic generating tangible results. The successful applicant will be driven and a genuine self-starter, capable of pursuing leads independently and with exceptional time management skills. An existing knowledge of the Wellington market and contacts within the industry are strongly preferred.
As the company is based in Auckland, the right candidate will necessarily be self-managed and results-driven. They will be in close touch with the Auckland office and expected to keep abreast of the minutes from weekly team meetings. Minimum weekly hours are negotiable and dependent on situation, but annual sales expectations will be clearly lined out.
