Are you an experienced sales leader with a natural talent for motivating and coaching, driving consistent results across teams? Kinross is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead our Cellar Door and Wine Store teams to new heights.

What You'll Do:
• Lead the Cellar Door and Wine Store teams to meet and exceed budgeted wine revenue.
• Collaborate with the GM of Wine to adapt products, pricing, and sales strategies to maximize profitability across all channels.
• Foster a positive, motivated team culture with regular coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Inspire your team by leading with energy and a passion for wine, ensuring they adhere to Kinross values and standards.
• Be a key player in making Kinross a sought-after workplace for talented wine and hospitality professionals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with wine partners, wine tour companies, and other key trade channels.
• Collaborate with the marketing and trade sales teams to create and implement impactful promotions, events, and initiatives to increase off-licence sales.
• Monitor, report, and improve sales performance, ensuring all financial targets, such as budget, margin, and KPI’s, are met.
• Oversee all financial activities related to the Cellar Door and Wine Store, including inventory management, pricing, and cost control.
Key Qualities and Experience
• Proven leadership experience and results in high-performance, direct to consumer sales teams
• Strong individual sales performance and a track record of driving revenue growth.
• A natural passion for food and wine, with an ability to share that passion with guests and your team.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills to maintain a motivated, high-performing team.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• A customer-first mentality with a focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
This is a full time, permanent role, based in Gibbston, Otago. You will need your own transport and accommodation.
