About the Role /Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Site Winemaker providing input into an ongoing production plan to execute winemaking activities and deliver on dispatch commitments.
- Work with the winemaking and cellar teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement action plans.
- Under the leadership of the Site Winemaker, responsible for end-to-end winemaking for the site, ensure ongoing quality and compliance requirements are met.
- Operate as a brand ambassador when required.
- Carry out the implementation and recording of cellar operations and instructions to cellar staff ensuring that company procedures are kept up to date and followed at all times.
- Support the site winemaker with audit preparation and process.
- Participate in winemaking and/or winery projects as required by the company.
- Comply with and role model the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures .
About you
- Oenological or related Food Science degree/diploma
- Minimum 5 years winemaking experience
- Experience in cellar and winery operations
- Understanding of Wine Quality Management systems
- Experience in S&OP planning protocols is preferred
- Excellent analytical and computer skills
- Ability to think critically, analyse and develop workable solutions
- Good interpersonal skills including strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and constructive cultural behaviours
- Team player
- Self-starter and results oriented
- Strong quality focus and continuous improvement mindset
