Senior Bartender (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Malo is a busy, modern restaurant in the heart of Havelock North, Hawke's Bay. We are looking for an experienced Bartender to join us! We are looking for a team player who has a knack for hospo and creating enjoyable experiences for customers.  

 

  • Someone who can smash out perfect classic and bespoke cocktails in a busy service.  
  • Has a passion for hospitality and a drive to continually learn more.
  • Hold a current duty managers certificate and ensure we are meeting liquor licencing requirements
  • A team player who can take charge, multi-task, and delegate as required during a busy service 
  • Responsible for imparting knowledge, skills and training to all bar staff

Malo’s style is welcoming, engaging and up-beat. You’ll like the idea of working in an energetic, fast-paced and social environment, where no two days are the same. You’ll be a smooth team player, super reliable, calm and a strong communicator. We operate 11am – late, 7 days a week, so you’ll need to be able to work a range of shifts across any given week and weekend - flexibility is a must. Previous experience curating and maintaining an extensive bar list (wine, beer, cocktails and spirits) and waiting tables is essential.
