Clearview Estate Winery is a long-established owner operated business producing premium wine in Hawke’s Bay with a renowned Vineyard Restaurant & Cellar Door in Te Awanga, Hawke’s Bay.
We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Manager for maternity leave cover for a period of 6-7 months. This is an office-based role & we have excellent transition training in place with admin support for A/P & A/R
In this part-time role (15-25 hours per week over 3 to 5 days), you will be responsible for the fortnightly payroll, as well as day to day accounting functions. This role is busy, interesting & varied. Your week will consist of:
- Fortnightly payroll of 30+ staff across two companies on TimeHub/Crystal
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable using RECKON hosted
- Filing excise and other levies as required
- Prepare, balance and reconcile Payroll, PAYE and other deductions where necessary
- General Ledger Reconciliations and maintenance
- General Office Administration
- Preparation of financial reports as required
- Liaison with our Accountants
Skills and attributes required for this role include:
- Strong all-round accounting skills – payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, GST, monitoring tax payments and cash flows & year end
- Must have solid payroll processing experience and good knowledge of payroll procedures and employment legislation in Aotearoa
- MS Excel proficiency
- Proficiency with accounting software packages
- Highly organised, great attention to detail & accuracy
- Hands-on by nature
- A team player; happy to contribute and assist others
